Luke's Story
Luke is a 9 year old boy with a learning disability. His family supports both Luke and his disabled sister, and as a result suffers extreme financial hardship which means they often cannot afford to buy school necessities such as uniform, shoes and books.
In attending the local school Luke found it difficult to fit in with the other children, who often teased him about his lack of proper school supplies, and was very embarrassed as a result.
Max e Grants provided Luke with the funding that he needed to get a new school bag, shoes, text books and uniform. Luke now no longer needs to be embarrassed and his self-esteem is slowly improving. He is no longer teased, has been able to interact more with his peers and even been invited to his new friends' birthday parties.
