This small grants program is designed to help children get the most out of their education through better participation.
A good education is as important to children as food, shelter and a loving family. Education provides children with the tools and knowledge that they need to understand and participate in today's world. Sadly, not all children get the same chances in life.
As a leading child welfare charity, Barnardos know only too well that many children struggle to receive a good and stable education and often cannot access the most basic resources that can be the key to unlocking their true potential.
Whilst Barnardos provides comprehensive and integrated child and family support programs, sometimes it just takes something small to help kids on their way. This could be assistance with school books or uniforms, fees or equipment, special tuition or excursions.
Our goal is to give children in need a better chance at life through increased participation in the education system.
